Credits and billing
Updated August 1, 2026
This is the money page. It says what a credit is, when one leaves your balance, when one comes back, and what happens to the credits you paid cash for. Read it once and you should know exactly where you stand. Getting money back is covered separately in the refund and cancellation policy.
How credits work
Cineva has one balance. Every tool is priced in credits, and the price is the same for everyone on every plan. The Package, the flagship run, costs 90 credits.
Credits reach your balance two ways. A plan grants them. A credit pack buys them. Both sit in the same balance, but they behave differently when you cancel or delete, so the difference is spelled out below.
Plans and monthly credits
| Plan | Monthly | Billed annually | Credits | Rollover cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 a month | Not applicable | 15, granted once | No rollover |
| Pro | $19 a month | $15 a month | 250 a month | 500 credits |
| Studio | $49 a month | $39 a month | 800 a month | 1,600 credits |
The Free grant of 15 credits arrives once, when you open the account. It does not refill.
On a paid plan the grant lands on the same day every billing period. Unused monthly credits roll over while you stay subscribed, up to 2 times the monthly grant. On Pro that ceiling is 500 credits. On Studio it is 1,600 credits. Above the ceiling, the next grant tops you up to the ceiling and no further.
An annual plan is billed once for the year and grants its credits monthly, the same way the monthly plan does.
Credit packs
Packs are top ups you buy outright, on any plan, including Free. The rate you pay is the rate we refund at, so it is printed here.
| Pack | Price | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| 100 credits | $10 | 10.0 cents a credit |
| 300 credits | $27 | 9.0 cents a credit |
| 800 credits | $64 | 8.0 cents a credit |
| 2,000 credits | $140 | 7.0 cents a credit |
Pack credits never expire. They stay in your balance while the account exists, whether you subscribe, cancel, or never subscribe at all.
What each tool costs
One run, one price, the same on every plan. These are the current costs. The tool always shows you the number again before you press the button, and that number is the one you are charged.
| Tool | Credits per run |
|---|---|
| The Package | 90 |
| All-in-One | 54 |
| Storyboard | 48 |
| Casting Room (not released yet) | 40 |
| Casting Looks | 30 |
| Location Scout | 15 |
| Scene Sketch | 8 |
| Scene Studio | 6 |
| Breakdown Writer | 5 |
| Press Kit | 4 |
| Demand Radar | 3 |
| The Pitch | 2 |
Storyboard is the one tool that scales with what you ask for. It bills 8 credits per frame, and you choose the frame count, so the cost in the table is what a full board comes to at the default length.
The ten rules
Ten rules govern the balance. They are the same rules the product is built on, written out here so you can hold us to them. The tenth is the list in the next section.
1. Failed runs refund automatically
If a run fails, the credits go back to your balance without you asking for them. The refund appears in your credit history as its own line, marked as a refund, next to the charge it reverses. You can see it happen.
2. You see the exact cost before every run
Before you press the button, the tool shows what the run costs and what your balance will be after it. No run ever costs more than the number on that screen.
3. Every tool has a free example
Each tool can play back a cached sample output for zero credits. Nobody should have to pay to find out what a tool does.
4. One free re-roll on the flagship
If a Package run disappoints you, you can run it again on the same script once, at no charge. The second run costs zero credits instead of 90.
5. Nothing evaporates quietly
Pack credits never expire. Monthly credits roll over while you stay subscribed, capped at 2 times the monthly grant. There is no other expiry clock running on your balance.
6. Monthly credits are spent first
A run always takes monthly credits before it touches pack credits. Monthly credits are the ones that come back next period. Pack credits are the ones you paid cash for, so they are spent last.
7. Your price is locked while you stay subscribed
The plan price you joined at does not rise while your subscription stays active. If we raise prices, you keep yours.
8. Unused pack credits are refunded if you leave
Delete your account and we refund the pack credits still in your balance, at the rate you paid for them. You are not held hostage by a balance.
9. Big runs come with a value receipt
After a large run we show what the human equivalent costs, for example what a storyboard artist charges for a day. That is context for the price, not a claim about what you saved.
What Cineva will never do
Rule ten is a list of things we have decided not to do, ever. It is here so you can point at it.
- Expire your pack credits.
- Apply a hidden multiplier to a tool so a run costs more than the posted price.
- Charge you while a run sits in the queue.
- Interrupt a generation with an upsell.
If any of that ever happens, it is a bug, and it is on us to reverse it. Email us and we will.
Billing
Prices are in US dollars. No tax is added at checkout today, so the number on the plan or the pack is the number that reaches your card. Tax rules depend on where a customer is located and they do change. If we ever have to collect tax on your purchase, it is calculated and shown to you before any payment is taken, and it appears on your receipt.
A card is collected at checkout. Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel, monthly or annually depending on what you chose. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Packs are charged once, when you buy them, and are added to your balance straight away.
Every charge produces a receipt, sent to the email on your account and kept in your billing history.
If a payment fails
We retry the payment and email you. Your plan credits pause until the payment clears, and your projects stay where they are. Pack credits are unaffected and remain spendable, because you already paid for them.
If the payment has still not cleared after two weeks, the subscription ends. Nothing is deleted. You can start a plan again whenever you want, at whatever the price is then.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan keeps running to the end of the period you already paid for, and the credits granted for that period stay spendable until it ends.
When the subscription ends, monthly credits end with it. They belong to the plan. Pack credits are yours and stay in your balance, so you can keep running tools on a free account until they are gone.
Deleting your account
Deleting the account is different from cancelling a plan. When you delete:
- Unused pack credits are refunded at the rate you paid, back to the original payment method.
- Monthly plan credits end, as they do on any cancellation.
- Your projects and generated output are deleted within 30 days. That window exists so a deletion made by mistake can be undone.
Timings for the money side are in the refund and cancellation policy. What happens to the rest of your data is in the privacy policy.
Price changes
Plan prices, pack prices and the credit cost of a tool can change. What you have already committed to does not.
- Your plan price is locked while you stay subscribed.
- A pack costs what it said when you bought it.
- A run costs the number shown on the screen before you started it.
If we change what a tool costs, the new number appears on the tool before you run it. If you cancel and come back later, you join at whatever the plan price is then.
Questions about a charge
Your credit history shows every grant, every run and every refund, with the date and the tool. If a line does not look right, email hello@cineva.io with the date and we will trace it. This policy is part of the terms of service.
