Terms of service

Who this agreement is between

Cineva is an AI pre-production studio. It is run by ReadyTake, the company behind RolePilot. The contracting entity is [Registered entity name] of [Registered office address].

In these terms, Cineva and we mean that company. You means the person using the service. If you accept these terms for a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind it, and the company is bound with you.

Eligibility and age

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least [Minimum age, to be set by counsel]. Cineva is not built for children and we do not knowingly open accounts for them. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under the minimum age, we close it.

Your account

You sign in with an email address. Keep that address current, because it is where billing notices and service notices go. One account is for one person. Do not share your sign in details.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including credits that get spent. If you think someone else has access, email hello@cineva.io and we will help you lock it down.

Acceptable use

The acceptable use policy sets out what you may not generate or do with Cineva. It is part of this agreement. Breaking it is a breach of these terms.

What you upload stays yours

Your scripts, notes, images and prompts stay yours. Uploading them gives us no ownership of them.

You give us a license to store that material and to send it to the model providers named in the privacy policy, for one purpose: to produce the output you asked for. The license covers nothing else. It ends when you delete the material or your account.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. Do not paste a script you have no rights to.

What Cineva generates for you

The output of a run is yours. We claim no ownership of it. You can use it commercially, in a pitch, in a deck, or on set. We only reuse output outside your account if you tell us we can.

Two limits are worth stating plainly, because they are real.

• AI generated material is not protected by copyright everywhere. Some countries require a human author. You may not be able to register or enforce rights in a generated image or a generated block of text.
• The models are shared. Another user with a similar script or prompt can receive similar output. We cannot promise anything generated is unique, and we cannot promise it does not resemble existing work. Check output before you publish it or clear it for production.

Credits, plans and payment

Cineva runs on credits. Every tool shows its exact cost before you start a run. Free costs $0 and includes 15 welcome credits, granted once. Pro is $19 a month, or $15 a month billed annually, and grants 250 credits a month. Studio is $49 a month, or $39 a month billed annually, and grants 800 credits a month.

How credits are granted, spent, rolled over and refunded is set out in the credits, billing and refunds policy. That policy is part of this agreement.

Subscription billing and cancellation

A card is collected at checkout. Paid plans renew automatically, every month or every year, until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number.

You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan keeps running until the end of the period you have already paid for.

The plan price you joined at does not rise while you stay subscribed. If you cancel and come back later, you join at the price current then.

Suspension and termination

You can delete your account whenever you want. When you do, unused pack credits are refunded at the rate you paid for them. Monthly plan credits belong to the subscription and end with it. Projects and outputs are removed within 30 days.

We can suspend or close an account if:

• it breaches these terms or the acceptable use policy
• it is used for fraud, or payment is charged back
• the law requires us to

Where it is reasonable to do so, we warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. [What happens to unused pack credits when an account is closed for a breach, to be set by counsel]

Changes to the service

Cineva is under active development. Tools get added, and the AI models behind them change. Credit costs can change too. When a cost changes, the new number is on the screen before you press the button, so no run ever costs more than the number you were shown.

We do not promise the service is available at all times. Generation depends on model providers we do not control.

Services we rely on

• Stripe processes payments.
• Supabase handles authentication and data storage.
• Vercel hosts the site and the app.
• Third party AI models generate the images and text: [Model providers, to be listed by name before launch].

The Stripe and Supabase integrations are not live yet. They go live with the public launch of cineva.io.

Disclaimers

Cineva is a drafting and visualization tool. Its output is a starting point, not professional advice and not a legal clearance. Coverage notes are a model opinion. Casting boards and location boards are generated imagery, not real people, real places or real availability.

The service is provided as it is. Beyond the warranties the law gives you and does not let us exclude, we make none.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, we are not liable for lost profits, lost work, lost data or indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to [Liability cap, to be set by counsel]. Keep your own copies of anything you care about.

Changes to these terms

We can update these terms. When a change affects your rights or what you pay, we email the address on your account at least [Notice period for changes, to be set by counsel] before it takes effect. Using Cineva after that date means you accept the new version.

If you do not accept it, cancel and delete your account. Unused pack credits are refunded at the rate you paid.

Governing law

[Governing law, to be set by counsel] governs these terms. [Courts and venue for disputes, to be set by counsel]. If you deal with us as a consumer, the protections of your own country still apply to you.
